It takes a village - 2023 collage of watercolor and gouache on paper.

A little red roofed home for all lovely people who live in our 'village'. 21 little collaged houses form this village and each of them ended up on it's own holiday card. Based on the proverb "It takes a village to raise a child" that means that an entire community of people must provide for and interact positively with children for those children to experience and grow in a safe and healthy environment. The proverb has been attributed to African cultures.
